The DNR is hosting four public meetings to present information and gather public feedback on the Lake Michigan lake trout population. The Lake Michigan lake trout commercial harvest stakeholder group, which consists of commercial fishers, anglers, charter fishers, wholesale fish dealers, restaurants and others interested in the Lake Michigan fishery, will be in attendance at each public meeting.  

This fourth meeting will be focused on Working Group Discussion and Input.

This is a public hearing on a proposed rule, Board Order WY-13-20, which affects chs. NR 102, 103, 106, 207, 212 and 216 and is related to updating Wisconsin’s water quality antidegradation policy and procedures affecting small business.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To pre-register, please save and complete the fillable appearance slip and submit it to Kristi.Minahan@wisconsin.gov. You may also submit written comments on the rule to DNRAdministrativeRulesComments@wisconsin.gov by 11:59 p.m. on May 19, 2023. Written comments will have the same weight and effect as spoken testimony presented at the hearing.
