The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host the next PFAS External Advisory Group (EAG) meeting from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 18, 2025.
Agenda items include updates on rulemaking, legislative actions, state budget and working groups.
This is a working meeting of the EAG. While the public is invited to attend, there may not be opportunities to engage in the discussion. Questions may be submitted in advance to DNRPFASInquiries@wisconsin.gov. More information about this meeting, including an agenda, will be available on the PFAS External Advisory Group webpage.

Joint Public Hearing On Permanent Rules DG-03-23 And DG-04-23

This is a joint public hearing on permanent rules DG-03-23 and DG-04-23. DG-03-23 affects ch. NR 812 and is related to updating, correcting and clarifying existing code requirements and adding requirements for new pump installations and water treatment and other specified code requirements affecting small businesses. DG-04-23 affects ch. NR 146 and is related to water well driller, heat exchange driller, pump installer licensing and registration; and drilling rig operator registration affecting small business.
The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To pre-register, either use the Zoom link before the day of the hearing or download and complete the fillable hearing appearance form and email it to Robert.Gundrum@wisconsin.gov.
Comments on the proposed rules must be received on or before April 22, 2025. Written comments may be submitted by U.S. mail, email or through the Internet and will have the same weight and effect as oral statements presented at the public hearing. We Energies-Oak Creek Power Plant, located at 11060 S Chicago Rd, Oak Creek, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, FID 241007690, submitted to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) a permit application, including plans and specifications for revision of 24100769A-P37 for operation of a Electric Power Generation facility; and the construction and operation of: five simple cycle combustion turbine electric generating units (CTGs) with a total electric generating capacity of approximately 1,200 MW; a 2.0 billion standard cubic foot Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) storage facility; and other equipment required to support this new generation. This project will also increase the use of natural gas in the Elm Road Generating Station Units 1 and 2 to the full rated capacity of these units.
