This will be the fourth meeting of the Government Committee of the Nonmotorized Recreation and Transportation Trails Council (NRTTC).

NRTTC carries out studies and provides advice and consultation to the legislature, the governor, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Department of Transportation on all matters related to nonmotorized recreation and transportation trails, including trail planning, acquisition, development, maintenance and management.

At this meeting, the Government Committee discussion is expected to include electric recreational vehicles and the Wild Goose State Trail.

This is a public hearing on a permanent rule CR 20-066 (FH-25-19) to revise chapter NR 20 relating to Minocqua Chain walleye harvest regulations. The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Registration will take place at the hearing by completing a Hearing Appearance form, which is available at https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/news/input/ProposedPermanent.html. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. Details 

A public meeting to discuss disposal of dredged material will be held by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Room 104 at the Port Milwaukee offices located at 2323 South Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Public meeting participation will also be available virtually using a Zoom meeting. 

The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public comment and answer questions on the proposal. There will be a brief introduction and explanation of the project by DNR and MMSD representatives. All public comments will be considered by DNR in its decision on the proposal.

DNR staff will share information using a PowerPoint presentation during this meeting. The call-in number will allow attendees to listen to a presentation regarding the proposed facility, ask questions and provide comment. However, to view the presentation, the DNR recommends attending using a computer via the Zoom link.

Reasonable accommodations, including the provision of informational material in an alternative format, will be provided for qualified individuals, with disabilities upon request. Please call Gerald DeMers at 262-226-0552 with specified information on your request at least 5 days before the date of the scheduled hearing.
