Walworth County Waterway Public Hearing

Pier Stan V. Smith Trust has applied to the Department of Natural Resources for a permit to construct a pier on the bed of Middle Lake. The project is located in the NENE of Section 34, Township 04N, Range 16E, in the Town of La Grange, Walworth County.
The project consists constructing a new pier structure along the shoreline of Middle Lake within the Lauderdale Lakes complex to compliment the planned development of a condominium. The pier’s refined design includes a 200’ length x 4’ width stems, supporting 3 total boat slips.
The department will review the proposal provided by the applicant and any information from public comments and the public informational hearing. The department has made a tentative determination that it will issue the permit or contract for the proposed activity.

State Trails Council quarterly meeting

The State Trails Council (STC) provides advice and consultation to the Department of Natural Resources on the planning, acquisition, development and management of trails in Wisconsin. The council represents trail users in Wisconsin, which includes more than half of the state's residents. The council is also responsible for providing counsel in administering Federal Recreational Trails Program funds.
A draft agenda will be posted to the STC website prior to the meeting. A portion of the agenda near the end of the meeting will allow for in-person public comments.
The location of the meeting is not conducive for remote attendance. If attending in person, please follow social distancing recommendations and wear a mask if not fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Snowmobile Recreation Council – Infrastructure Committee Meeting

The Snowmobile Recreation Council carries out studies and makes recommendations to the Legislature, Governor, Department of Natural Resources and Department of Transportation on all matters related to the snowmobiling program at the DNR or otherwise affecting snowmobiles and snowmobiling in Wisconsin, and makes recommendations to the DNR with regard to funding grant applications.
The Infrastructure Committee of members of the Snowmobile Recreation Council will meet to review grant applications and discuss other business. The public will be invited to join the meeting via Zoom. The Zoom meeting link, agenda, and other meeting materials are available on the Snowmobile Recreation Council web page.
