Public Input, Meetings & Rulemaking Efforts
The DNR continues to seek public input on PFAS investigation, contamination and cleanup issues. There are a variety of ways to give public input and public meetings are held throughout the year. You can also subscribe to various GovDelivery topics to stay informed about PFAS in Wisconsin.
Public Meetings
All meetings held by the DNR are published on the DNR Public Hearings and Meetings Calendar. Details about specific sites, stakeholder groups and initiatives are available on dedicated webpages.
WisPAC
The Wisconsin PFAS Action Council (WisPAC), in partnership with other state agencies, hosts public meetings. WisPac is developing and coordinating statewide initiatives to address growing public health and environmental concerns regarding certain PFAS substances. A critical step was the development of a statewide PFAS Action Plan. Meetings are open to the public.
PFAS External Advisory Group
The PFAS External Advisory Group is a collaborative forum for the DNR to solicit constructive feedback on PFAS initiatives in Wisconsin. This group is staffed by the DNR. Members include stakeholders, community members and interested parties from both private and public sectors. All meetings are open for the public to attend.
PFAS Technical Group
The PFAS Technical Group is a working group formed in 2021 to present and discuss information related to PFAS in Wisconsin, with an emphasis on presentations from entities outside of DNR. This group does not have an appointed membership; any interested party may attend. Meetings are open to the public.
Marinette and Peshtigo Area
Public meetings are being held for PFAS contamination in the Marinette and Peshtigo area.
Town of Campbell and French Island
Public meetings are being held for PFAS contamination in the Town of Campbell and French Island.
Rulemaking Efforts
Numerous rulemaking efforts related to PFAS are underway. The rulemaking process for each rule contains multiple opportunities for public input. Visit each specific rulemaking page for further details.
