The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will hold a public hearing on a permanent rule to revise ch. NR 162, relating to the Clean Water Fund Program.
Revisions to ch. NR 162, Wis. Adm. Code, relating to the Clean Water Fund Program, bring the code in line with statutory changes that occurred after the current version became effective, clarify eligibility criteria, streamline processes, revise the scoring system, and update implementation issues since the rule was last revised. No new significant changes to the Clean Water Fund Program result from the rule revisions.

Proposed Modification: The permit is being modified to remove the surface water outfall and replace it with a land treatment outfall, as well as including a groundwater monitoring well network associated with the absorption ponds.

Governor’s Snowmobile Recreation Council Meeting

The Snowmobile Recreation Council carries out studies and makes recommendations to the Legislature, Governor, Department of Natural Resources and Department of Transportation on all matters related to the snowmobiling program at the DNR or otherwise affecting snowmobiles and snowmobiling in Wisconsin, and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources with regard to funding grant applications.
The Finance Committee and the Infrastructure Committee will meet to discuss topics specific to their committee focus, including a preliminary review of grant applications submitted this year. The public will be invited to join the meeting via Zoom or in person.
The in-person meeting will take place at the DNR Office at 107 Sutliff Ave, Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host the PFAS Technical Group from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022.
The PFAS Technical Group will include guests from Clean Production Action to present the GreenScreen Certified™️ Firefighting Foam standard and from NSF to discuss how their standards and certifications relate to PFAS.
The PFAS Technical Group is a working group designed as a forum to present and discuss information related to perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in Wisconsin, with an emphasis on presentations from entities outside of DNR. This group does not have an appointed membership; any interested party may attend.
The public is invited to participate and may ask questions or provide comments at this meeting. Questions may also be submitted in advance to DNRPFASInquiries@wisconsin.gov.
