Common activities
Broad Incidental Take Permit/Authorization
This Broad Incidental Take Permit/Authorization (BITP/A) for common activities allows for the "incidental taking" of specific endangered and threatened species that may occur as a result of activities occurring regularly across the landscape. The department recognizes that these common activities, including streambank stabilization, stream crossings and pipeline inspection/maintenance, have been issued individual Incidental Take Permits/Authorizations with identical minimization and mitigation measures in the past. Therefore, the department has issued this BITP/A to cover these regularly occurring activities for specific endangered and threatened species including Blanchard’s cricket frog (Acris blanchardi), wood turtle (Glyptemys insculpta), slender glass lizard (Ophisaurus attenuatus) and all endangered and threatened fish species.
