Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Secretary Preston D. Cole has appointed Heather Berklund as the department’s new Chief State Forester. Her appointment became effective Oct. 12.

DNR & Dane County Sheriff's Office Expand November Public Hours At County Shooting Range, $10 User Fee
Thanks to the continuing project agreement between the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Dane County Sheriff's Office, the public again will have November access to the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center Range for hunter firearm sight-in.
Sturgeon Spearing License Deadline Oct. 31
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) would like to remind interested spearers that they have until Oct. 31, 2020 to purchase a license for the 2021 Lake Winnebago sturgeon spearing season.
