2021-2022 Winter Wolf Survey Results & Wolf Management Plan Update
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that the 2021-2022 overwinter number of pack-associated wolves is estimated between 812 and 1,193 within the pack-occupied range, with the most likely estimate being 972 wolves in a total number of packs estimated to be between 243 – 352 packs, with a most likely value of 288 packs. The complete 2022 annual wolf monitoring report will be available on the DNR’s Wildlife Habitat webpage once ready.
DNR, WHEDA Host Home And Habitat Fest At Havenwoods State Forest
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) invite the public to the first Home and Habitat Fest, an afternoon of free food, live music and family-friendly activities focused on housing and natural resources at Havenwoods State Forest in Milwaukee at 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
DNR Seeking Public Comment For Environmental Review Of Village Of Blanchardville Safe Drinking Water Loan Program Project
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the village of Blanchardville is an applicant for funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) to improve its public drinking water system. The project includes the replacement of watermains on Baker Street and Mound Street in the village of Blanchardville.

The project includes the removal and replacement of an elevated water tower in the city of Antigo.
