The nature center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. year-round.
Things to Do
Meander through the Environmental Awareness Center to view seasonal exhibits, participate in drop-in activities or check out the live reptiles and amphibians. Remember to pick up species lists, geocaching adventure booklets and many other publications. You can borrow binoculars, field guides, GPS units, snowshoes and other exploring tools for use at Havenwoods. Families can Take Smokey for a Hike or borrow a backpack with exploring tools and books. From the naturalist staff, get answers to your nature questions or help in identifying plants and animals that you encounter in the woods, wetlands and prairies at Havenwoods. Join the staff at the many interpretive programs and events offered throughout the year.
