Accessibility
Governor Nelson State Park offers an accessible fishing pier and an accessible picnic shelter near the sand beach. Several of the trails are spacious, natural surfaces. The adaptive cross-country sit skis are available as the winter weather permits. Please contact the visitor center for more information.
Bicycling
The North Mendota Trail is a 12-foot wide, paved shared-use trail that connects the village of Waunakee to Governor Nelson State Park. The North Mendota Trail travels for about 0.75 miles through the state park where it connects to existing segments on both sides of County Highway M. Future phases of the North Mendota Trail will also link Governor Nelson State Park to Mendota County Park and the city of Middleton.
