Admission Sticker and Trail Pass Receipts

Visitors must display a vehicle admission sticker adhered to the vehicle as instructed on the sticker or show proof of purchase upon entrance to Wisconsin State Park System properties. Trail users must carry a valid state trail pass or proof of purchase with them while using certain trails.

Online Orders

Vehicle Admission Stickers: Admission stickers purchased online should be received within 30 days from the date of purchase. If you purchase an annual admission sticker online and want to visit a park before your sticker arrives in the mail, you may print it off and bring your receipt. Place the receipt on the driver’s side dash of your vehicle while on the property so that it can be read through the windshield. The email receipt includes an Order ID, order date, and the type of sticker ordered. If you do not have a printer, on a piece of paper record the words “Your Pass Now”, and the order/pass details in large letters. If you did not receive a receipt the same day of your purchase, email the Wisconsin State Parks Store.

State Trail Passes: If you purchase your annual state trail pass online, you will not receive a physical pass. Instead, you will receive a digital pass that can be downloaded into a mobile wallet. Alternatively, trail users can print their official Your Pass Now receipt and carry that with them on the trail to serve as proof of purchase. Online daily trail passes are also issued an email receipt. Daily passes are only valid for the date of purchase. There is not an option to download the daily trail pass into a mobile wallet. Instead, a printed copy of the receipt or a screenshot of the receipt serves as proof of purchase. If you do not have a printer or a mobile device, you can write your Trail Pass order details from your email receipt onto a piece of paper and carry it with you on the trail.

Receipts for online sticker or trail pass orders will be emailed the same day of purchase. There may be a delay in receiving emails – remember to check your junk email folder.

Conservation Patrons

The Wisconsin State Parks system does not mail the sticker that comes with your conservation patron license. Normally, we exchange this voucher at our state park offices for your sticker. If our offices are closed, you may use the voucher as your valid proof of purchase to enter the state park. Print your state park patron voucher and place it on the driver’s side dash of your vehicle while visiting the property so that it can be read through the windshield.

A valid driver’s license and/or your Go Wild Card with a customer ID can be used as proof of purchase for the Conservation Patron Annual Trail Pass.

Electronic Sales Kiosks

If you purchase a sticker or annual trail pass from an electronic sales kiosk, the receipt you received from the electronic kiosk serves as your proof of purchase until you can redeem your receipt for an admission sticker or trail pass at a state park property. For an admission sticker, place the electronic kiosk receipt on your driver’s side dash while on the property so that it can be read through the windshield. For a state trail pass, you must be able to display the trail pass receipt upon request.

Self-registration station envelopes

Self-registration stations have envelopes available for payment by cash or check (credit cards are not accepted). A receipt can be torn off the envelope for proof of payment. If a daily admission sticker or state trail pass is purchased, the envelope receipt serves as the daily sticker/pass. If an annual admission sticker or trail pass is purchased, the property will mail it to the address provided on the envelope. Visitors need to write legibly on the envelope to ensure the property knows where to send the annual sticker/pass.

Telephone orders

Telephone orders are not sent a receipt via email. Visitors are encouraged to purchase admission stickers or state trail passes online or at individual properties via self-self-registration stations, electronic sales kiosks or drive-up window service if they are planning a visit to a state park property or trail within 30 days from the date of purchase.
