DNR To Host Virtual Public Meeting On Proposed Wild Bait Harvest Rule Changes

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a virtual public meeting to discuss proposed changes to the wild bait (minnow) harvest draft rule.

At this meeting, the DNR will present an overview of the proposed changes to the wild bait harvest regulations and permits that may advance to a rule.

The meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams on Monday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for the public to provide feedback on the proposed rule changes. Registration is required.

The proposed changes under consideration may affect minnow harvest for personal use by anglers, as well as minnow harvest permits, reporting and regulations for licensed bait dealers.
