Peshtigo Harbor Wildlife Area Shooting Range To Open For Firearm Sight-Ins
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is opening its Peshtigo shooting range in Marinette County to anyone who wants to sight-in firearms.
The Peshtigo Harbor Wildlife Area Range, located at W2490 Hipke Road, will open on these dates for target shooters and deer hunters for sight-in before the gun deer season which starts on Nov. 21. The range will close after the Nov. 20 open hours.
The range will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Nov. 6-8, Nov. 13-15 and Nov. 20.
Users are asked to review these guidelines.
- All visitors will be encouraged to bring their own PPE such as face masks, gloves and sanitizer with them to the range.
- To prevent gatherings, people waiting to utilize the range due to space availability will be encouraged to wait in their vehicles.
- Upon completion of shooting activities all customers will be encouraged to leave the property immediately to reduce lingering customers visiting with others.
- Visitors are encouraged to check the DNR’s Public Shooting Ranges web page and individual range websites were available for updates regarding changes to range operations.

The DNR urges visitors to take garbage and recyclables home with them. Following the Leave No Trace principles helps protect the land for generations to come.
