Starry Night On The Marsh

This family-friendly event, which focuses on night sounds and astronomy, starts promptly at 5:30 and promises a full schedule of fun activities and hands-on experience opportunities. DNR staff at Horicon Marsh, Friends of Horicon Marsh volunteers and seven Dodge County libraries will provide a wide array of activities and crafts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Activities include trivia games, nocturnal animal bingo, owl and snake crafts, all about bats and more. Members of the Northern Cross Science Foundation will host a question and answer session about telescopes and the night sky at 7 p.m. Starting at 7:30 p.m., members of the Northern Cross Science Foundation will share telescopes for public viewing of the night sky (weather permitting). The Storybook Trail will also be lit up for evening reading after the event. The Friends of Horicon Marsh will be providing limited refreshments and a campfire to enjoy the night

Don’t miss this fun and educational event. Participating libraries include libraries from the following communities: Beaver Dam, Brownsville, Fox Lake, Horicon, Hustisford, Fox Lake, Juneau and Mayville
