Learn To Wing Shoot Night
Description
This class will be held on Sept. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Waunakee Gun Club and is intended for adults who are interested in acquiring or refining their skills in hitting flying clay targets using a shotgun.
Students will learn shotgun safety, the working parts of a shotgun, the mechanics of shooting, the idea of lead or forward allowance and eye dominance. The remainder of the evening will be spent shooting clays under the instruction of an experienced instructor. Eye protection and ear protection will be provided.
The event costs $20 per person. This includes one box of shotgun shells and the instructor's fee. Please bring this to the event.
Prerequisites: Students must be 18 or older and possess Hunter Safety certification. Some prior experience handling a shotgun is necessary; contact the event coordinator if you'd like to participate but are unsure if you have enough shotgun-handling experience.
Pre-registration is required: On Go Wild, go to your Safety Education tile and search "Learn to Hunt" in Dane County. Click the enroll button to sign up.
