Eastern Bluebird Monitoring

Description

Bluebirds are beautiful cavity-nesting birds. Every year, from April through August, volunteers monitor bluebird nesting boxes around Kohler-Andrae.

Why and how is it done, and where is the data reported? Do all of the bluebird boxes host bluebird families?

Learn from one of our long-time volunteers how our bluebirds are doing. After the talk, take a short walk out to check on one of the bluebird boxes to see monitoring in action.
