Cabin Fever Series: Tracks Across Wisconsin
Description
Join naturalist David Kuckuk as he introduces the basics of tracking and the gaits used by Wisconsin mammals. We'll start indoors and move outdoors as we explore the area around Sanderling Nature Center to examine and identify tracks and other evidence left by wildlife. Learn how to identify lesser-seen species that occupy more remote Wisconsin locations. Please dress for all weather conditions. The cordwalk can be slick in winter, and it’s often windy near the shore. No pets allowed.
Kuckuk is a lifelong naturalist, having worked seven years as a naturalist/park supervisor for the Washington County Parks Department and over 30 years as the director of the Maywood Environmental Park in Sheboygan.
Meet at the Sanderling Nature Center in parking lot P3. The Sanderling Nature Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
