Benefits of Harvesting and Eating Wild Game
-
Description
Hosted by the Wisconsin Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program.
The context and stories behind harvesting wild game enrich the culinary experience and can connect us to the land and food in intimate ways. This informal chat will explore the benefits of harvesting and eating wild game. Wild game is leaner, lower in fat and can have more nutritional value than meat from a grocery store. Locally sourced game has fewer "food miles" which means a lower carbon footprint compared to industrially produced meat.
Join us to share stories, ask questions and learn about our upcoming deer processing and wild game cooking classes.
This virtual is event is free to attend. Zoom link will be sent upon registration.
