Evening Marsh and Crane Watch
Description
Join educators at the Palmatory Picnic Shelter an hour before sunset at 4:30 p.m. for an informative talk on the birds you see flying overhead. Food will be available for a suggested donation while you enjoy the evening.
Sandhill cranes, Canada geese, great egrets and a variety of ducks are just a few of the amazing migrants flying into the marsh to roost at sunset.
Horicon Marsh Bird Club members will also be on hand to answer all your bird migration questions. A representative from the International Crane Foundation (ICF) will also be present to answer all your burning crane-related questions.
Soup, chili, baked items and other goodies will be available for a suggested donation to the Horicon Marsh Bird Club or Friends of Horicon Marsh.
All programs are free and open to the public. The location is the Palmatory Picnic Shelter at 1210 N. Palmatory Street, Horicon, WI.
No registration is required.
