CPR Refresher Certification (if needed) - July 28, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Main Course – July 29 – 30, 2023 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day
Join us at Sandhill Wildlife Area for an immersive and empowering Wilderness First Aid course that will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to emergencies in remote outdoor environments.
This comprehensive training program will give you a 2-year Wilderness First Aid certification through ASHI. Participants are required to hold a valid CPR/AED certification, but for added convenience, a CPR/AED certification skills check can be arranged on Friday night upon request, subject to an additional fee. Delve into topics such as assessing and treating injuries, managing environmental emergencies, improvising resources, and practicing decision-making in challenging scenarios. Gain the confidence to handle wilderness medical situations with competence and ensure the safety of yourself and others in the great outdoors.
Lodging accommodations are included in the registration fee, however, meals are not provided. Sandhill offers a full kitchen and food storage.
Class is limited to 10 participants.
Preregistration is required before July 21, along with a $250 registration fee per participant.
For individuals requiring a CPR Refresher Certification, an additional cost of $50 is added.
