Sandhill Crane Watch

Description

Sandhill Cranes are one of the many wonders within Sandhill Wildlife Area. Join the Friends of Sandhill to witness the spectacular showing of thousands of cranes coming into roost on the Gallagher Marsh. We will drive to the hiking trail near Gallagher Marsh and hike to the viewing area. Please wear camo or neutral-colored clothing that is not black. Feel free to bring cameras, binoculars, walking sticks, flashlights and something to sit on if desired.

Meet in the Sandhill Parking lot at 3 p.m.

Preregistration is required before Oct. 24 along with a $15 registration fee per person, or free for Friends of Sandhill Members.
