Visible Mending Class

Description

Learn to repair your clothing and other woven fabrics using basic embroidery stitches and Japanese-style mending (Sashiko). You will be extending the life of the garment and keeping it out of the landfill while stretching your creativity. The class will include hands-on practice with embroidery and Sashiko and practice mending holes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own jeans or another woven article to repair. Supplies will be provided to practice during class and brought home to get started mending.
