Discover Loon Lake: Aquatic Plant ID
Description
Enjoy the serenity of the lake in an exploration of the shoreline, island and bog habitats with the park’s naturalist. Meet the water ski champion of the insect world.
Program culminates with group aquatic plant ID and a family-friendly activity to help protect Wisconsin’s lakes.
$10/participant for kayak or paddleboard rental or BYO nonmotorized craft. Meet at Loon Lake Beach or sign up ahead of time at the park office to rent a boat (first-come, first-served).
Later that day: After the morning program, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., stop by the Naturalist cabin (adjacent to the main parking lot) to explore the nature center, visit with the park naturalist, and participate in the activity of the day. Fun for all ages!
