Candlelight Snowshoe

Description

Join us for a self-guided snowshoe trek or hike on a mile-long, torch-lit circuit through the Northern Lights Campground of Devil's Lake State Park sponsored by the Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park.

Enjoy gorgeous views of the night sky and experience the fascinating shadows cast by the torchlight. After the hike, warm up by the campfire with hot chocolate and a roasted s’more or two.

Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair, courtesy of the Devil’s Lake Nature Center; a variety of sizes are available. Dress appropriately for the winter weather, including warm, wind-proof and waterproof layers, depending on conditions.

Attendees can meet at the Rock Elm shelter at the North Shore.
