Learn to Fish

Join the Learn to Fish program to get you and your kids fishing! We’ll provide everything you need to get you started fishing.

Want to try fishing but don’t know what to do? Join our Learn to Fish program and we’ll show you how! We’ll have fun activities that will teach you the basics before sending you off to catch some fish. If you are 16 and older, you’ll need a fishing license. We’ll supply all the equipment and bait. This program’s activities are designed with families in mind, but open to kids of all ages. Group sizes vary and may be limited to promote social distancing. Participants are encouraged to practice social distancing, frequent hand washing and to wear a face covering if social distancing cannot be maintained. All programs will be outdoors. If you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that you refrain from participating in this program.

This will take place at Devil’s Lake State Park at the north shore boat launch.
