Milwaukee Area – Kids’ Fishing Clinics

-

Description

Join in the celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of Kids’ Fishing Clinics in southeast Wisconsin on Saturday, April 12. Clinics begin every hour starting at 9 a.m. with the last clinic starting at 2 p.m.  Rain or shine. Dress for the weather. The event includes free beginner fishing lessons, how to stay safe around the water and fun activities like fish printing, games and prizes for kids ages 15 and under; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing equipment is available to borrow but bring your own if possible and consider joining a club to help with future clinics. Head to one of eight parks in Milwaukee County to join in the celebration.

Registration is not required; however, advance notice is appreciated if you plan to bring a group larger than 20.

Note: Please know that these clinics are held on formally designated urban waters, which means that by state statute (s. 29.053 (2) (a), Stats, they’re reserved for kids ages 15 and younger (and people with certain disabilities) during this time. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All locations are accessible to kids of any ability.
