Icicle Hike In The Fern Dell Gorge

Description

Meet the naturalist at the Pulpit Rock parking lot for a fun winter hike in search of an incredible natural phenomenon: icy stalactites and stalagmites formed by seeping water flowing through the porous rocks in the Fern Dell Gorge. During the hike, we will take some time to discuss some of the park's geology and ecology.

Be sure to be prepared with warm clothing and proper footwear. If it's icy, snowshoes or ice cleats are recommended.

A 2025 state park admission pass is required.
