Full Moon Hike

-

Description

Join the Friends of the New Glarus Woods for a hike through woods and savannah to view the first full moon of the summer, the Buck Moon, as it rises over the eastern horizon. The hike will follow part of the Havenridge Nature Trail, out and back over the same terrain. It is a wide trail over moderate uphill and downhill terrain, of approximately 1 mile in length. A vault toilet (non-flush) is available close to the park shelter.

Meet at the park shelter. Parking is available on the east side of the park, north of the entrance station. Do not park in the area adjacent to the shelter on County NN. The event will take place weather permitting – cancelled in the event of rain or muddy trail conditions.

Consider bringing clothing appropriate for the weather and bug spray.

*No experience necessary.
