Peninsula State Park

Peninsula State Park offers an array of accessibility opportunities and amenities, including accessible campsites at South Nicolet and Tennison Bay campgrounds, accessible fishing piers at Nicolet Bay and Weborg Point campgrounds, and a boat launch with an accessible boarding pier, a beach access mat and a universal playground at Nicolet Beach.

The park features accessible facilities, including Eagle Tower, an accessible observation tower with a ramp. The park also has the Northern Sky Theater, which is an amphitheater located in the forest with accessible seating. Welker’s, Weborg and Nicolet beaches offer universal access, including accessible parking, universal trails connecting them to their parking lots and accessible restroom facilities. There is also a universal changing table installed in one of the changing rooms at the Nicolet Beach picnic shelter.

Wheelchair Reservations

Peninsula State Park has two outdoor wheelchairs that are available for free to checkout; a motorized all-terrain tracked wheelchair and a beach wheelchair.

The tracked wheelchair can be checked out through the Peninsula State Park Track Chair Reservation System, and the beach wheelchair can be checked out at the park office. Call the property at 920-868-3258 for more information on the outdoor wheelchairs.
