Annual Certification and Registration Renewal
Once your laboratory becomes certified or registered with the Wisconsin DNR Laboratory Accreditation Program, you will need to complete the following two tasks each year.
- Environmental Fee Invoices will be emailed to the lab accreditation contact in mid-May. That invoice will need to be paid within 60 days of its issue date, or the laboratory will also need to pay a late fee equal to 2x current RVU. If the laboratory does not pay the lab accreditation fees by August 31, then all accreditations will expire on September 1.
- Acceptable proficiency testing (PT) samples must be submitted to the department for all tests that require a PT sample by August 31.
Wisconsin does not require a laboratory to complete any application forms for renewal.
During July and August, those laboratories that have paid their fees and submitted acceptable PT samples will receive an updated certificate, scope of accreditations and cover letter by email.
Wisconsin's accreditation year runs from September 1 to August 31.
