The DNR's Wisconsin Wetland Conservation Trust has been operating since November 2014. The program sells wetland credits to permittees needing to offset authorized wetland impacts. As of January 1, 2024, the WWCT has funded 15 ILF mitigation projects totaling over 850 acres of restoration.
