Evergreen River
Evergreen River Fishery Area includes the tributaries Evergreen Creek, Townline Lake, Flora Lake and several other spring ponds and cold water tributaries. Flora Lake, a spring pond located on Langlade County Forestry Land is the headwaters of the Evergreen River. The entire length of the river is trout water. Fish inhabiting the stream are brook and brown trout and forage minnows. The entire length of the Evergreen River is classified as Outstanding Resource Water (ORW).

The river is accessible at five road crossings and from 8.9 miles of public frontage on lands controlled by DNR and Langlade County. The majority of property adjacent to the river is wooded and wild and the remaining land low density residential, agricultural uses, and wetlands.

Location/Directions

Evergreen River Fishery Area is located at T 31N, R 13E, Town of Evergreen, and T 31N, R 14E, Town of Wolf River. Take State Hwy 64, approximately 17 miles East of Antigo.
