The confluence of the Yellow River and Yellow Lake serves as important fish spawning habitat. Yellow Lake contains and excellent fishery. Anglers can expect to find abundant populations of walleye and muskellunge, while northern pike and panfish are common. Other fish species found in low numbers include largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish and lake sturgeon.
The Yellow Lake Statewide Habitat Area was purchased in 1984 to protect important spawning habitat and lakeshore on Yellow Lake while providing a public fishing and hunting area.
Location/Directions
To get to the property from Webster, travel 2.3 miles north on State Hwy 35 and turn west on Jefferies Road. Travel an additional .4 miles and arrive at the property. Access to the property can also be gained by boat, canoe and kayak from Yellow Lake.

Angling opportunities
Anglers can gain access to Yellow Lake and the Yellow River by boat from the public landing located off Jefferies Road.
