Analyte Groups
"Analyte group" means a set of analytes that can be determined using the same method or technology and that constitutes a unit, acknowledged by the department, of the third tier of accreditation under s. NR 149.13 (4).
The selection of an analyte group for certification or registration means that your certification or registration for the group extends to all analytes in that group.
A laboratory can be accredited for an analyte group and perform a sub list of analytes from that group. In order to perform and report analytes from that group the following must be completed and current:
- methods SOPs (preparation and analysis)
- an MDL study for each analyte performed and reported
- a passing initial demonstration of capability for each analyte performed and reported
