Fishing Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a great state for fishing. Every year, anglers head out across the state, wetting a line or two while enjoying Wisconsin's outdoors. The Anglers' Club is an award program recognizing outstanding sportfishing catches from Wisconsin waters.
Three categories
Anglers can be initiated into the Anglers' Club in any of the following three categories:
Membership
Membership in the Anglers' Club is free. To qualify, you must:
- possess a valid Wisconsin resident or nonresident fishing license
- catch a fish with pole and line according to current Wisconsin fishing regulations
- satisfy category criteria and correctly complete the fillable application form [PDF]
- enclose a closeup, side-view photograph of the fish.

What will you receive as a member of the Anglers' Club?
Anglers submitting qualifying entries, regardless of category, will receive a variety of club materials [PDF]:
- Embroidered 'Hooked on Wisconsin Anglers' Club patches
- Patches will be awarded for every 10 species caught and released in the Mixed Bag category
- Submissions in the Kept Fish and Live Release categories will receive species patches
- A certificate
- Membership card
Who can apply for club membership?
Fishing enthusiasts of all ages (resident or nonresident) are eligible for membership. Membership is open from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 of each year. Entries must be received by Jan. 15 to qualify for the previous year's membership.
