NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, the Natural Resources Board will tour and/or receive presentations at the following locations: at approximately 11:00 a.m. the Board will arrive at Waste Management Materials Recovery Facility, W132N10487 Grant Drive, Germantown, topics: marketability of recyclable products, how and what materials are collected, and state of the art machinery used to process recyclables; at approximately 1:05 p.m., the Board will arrive at the new Urban Ecology Center- Menomonee Valley, 3700 W. Pierce Street, Milwaukee, lunch catered by The National, with a presentation and tour of the Urban Ecology Center to follow, topics: DNR owned land, use of recycled material for building, science-based education programs, benefits to local community, walk ramp and tunnel, trail construction, and Ingeteam’s location in the Menomonee Valley; at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Board will walk part of the trail, topics: new bridge and innovative storm water strategy and green space; at approximately 3:45 p.m. the Board will depart for a bus tour through the Menomonee Valley along Canal Street and will receive presentations en route, topics: History of area and potential development, redevelopment of property as Water Research Park, new connection of Hank Aaron State Trail, and public/private partnership on project; at approximately 4:15 p.m. the Board will continue with their bus tour to the Sigma Loop/Start of River Loop, topics: Stewardship crews, bike camps, and enhancements to the trail experience; and at approximately 4:35 p.m., the Board will continue their bus tour past Potawatomi Casino, topics: Tribal lands, Menomonee Valley Brownfield's remediation efforts including social and economic impacts, Airline Yard Project update; a 24 acre outdoor living laboratory for use by the public and the new Urban Ecology Center will be viewed from the 27th Street viaduct.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Natural Resources Board meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Waste Management Materials Recovery Facility, W132N10487 Grant Drive, Germantown, Wisconsin. The Board will act on items 1-7 as listed on the Agenda.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that matters concerning natural resource issues or the Department's program responsibilities or operations specified in the Wisconsin Statutes, which arise after publication of this agenda may be added to the agenda and publicly noticed no less than two hours before the scheduled board meeting, if the Board Chair determines that the matter is urgent.
