NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, August 11, 2008, a quorum of the Natural Resources Board will tour the SW Grasslands, southwest Dane County, northeast Lafayette County, and southeast Iowa County, Wisconsin at 12:30 p.m. At approximately 4:30 p.m. the Board will travel to the Governor Dodge Hotel and Convention Center, Platteville, Wisconsin.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, the Natural Resources Board will arrive at approximately 11:50 a.m. for lunch at the Governor Dodge Hotel and Convention Center, Platteville, Wisconsin. At 12:45 p.m., the Natural Resources Board will travel to the Roundtree Branch Restoration Project, Platteville, Wisconsin. At approximately 2:00 p.m., the Board will depart for the Driftless Area Biomass Inventory & Analysis Project, off College Farm Road, south of Platteville, Wisconsin. At approximately 3:00 p.m., the Board will depart for the DOT Stream Alteration, STH 151, south of Platteville, Wisconsin. At approximately 3:30 p.m., the Board will depart for a grasslands bus tour on County Highway G, Town of Belmont, Lafayette County. At approximately 4:00 p.m., the Board will depart for Lake Joy Dam, Bethel Grove Road, Town of Belmont, Lafayette County. If time allows, the Board will continue with the grasslands bus tour as they return to Platteville, Wisconsin. At approximately 5:15 p.m. the Board will travel to the Lighthouse Inn, 96 E. Main Street, Platteville, Wisconsin for a social gathering at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m. At approximately 7:30 p.m. the Board will return to the Governor Dodge Hotel and Convention Center in Platteville, Wisconsin.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Natural Resources Board will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Governor Dodge Hotel and Convention Center, Platteville, Wisconsin. The Board will act on items 1-7 as listed on the Agenda.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that during lunch on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, there will be a briefing on the statutory authority of the Board. CANCELED AND RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER MEETING

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that matters concerning natural resource issues or the Department's program responsibilities or operations specified in the Wisconsin Statutes, which arise after publication of this agenda may be added to the agenda and publicly noticed no less than two hours before the scheduled board meeting, if the Board Chair determines that the matter is urgent.

      1. The National Wild Turkey Federation will donate $5,320 to the Bureau of Wildlife Management to develop wild turkey nesting and brood rearing habitat in Langlade County
      2. The Andrew F. Bell and Edith M. Bell Charitable Trust will donate $47,207.50, with $23,603.75 going to the Endangered Resources Fund and $23,603.75 to the Wildlife Management Wetland Program.
      3. Terry and Mary Kohler will donate $5,000 in support of the Wisconsin Trumpeter Swan Program
      4. Whitetails Unlimited will donate $8,000 to the Bureau of Wildlife Management for maintenance of hunter walking trails at Hay Creek/Hoffman Lake Wildlife Area.
